A Day in Sydney with Tom

Introduction:

I met Tom, a fourth-year student at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He’s a friendly and active person who loves sports, studying and spending time with friends.

My name is Tom Nguyen.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

I live in a small apartment near the city. It’s close to my university, and I can see tall buildings from my window. I share the place with one of my friends from school.

What is your family like?:

My family lives about an hour away from the city. I visit them on weekends, and we always eat a big meal together. My parents love cooking Vietnamese food!

How do you get around?:

I usually take the train to school. Sometimes, if the weather is nice, I walk or ride my scooter.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I like wearing comfy clothes -- T-shirts, basketball shorts and sneakers. When I go to class, I wear jeans and a hoodie.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love playing basketball with my friends and going to the gym. It helps me stay healthy and happy. On weekends, I like to watch movies or hang out at the beach.
