The furthest I traveled on this week was to Aburi, which is about an hour drive from Accra. We went there for a field trip to the Aburi Botanical Gardens, where we were able to learn about the different plants in the garden and their purpose, as well as how the Botanical Gardens has evolved since its beginning.
So far, the furthest I have gone is to Kumasi, which is about 125 miles away from Accra.
I take an Uber everywhere, sometimes solo, or sometimes by splitting fares with friends. If we have field trips, the program usually hires a bus for all the students in my cohort.
I visted a resturant with a friend, and I liked that they built the space around the trees instead of cutting them down. I love that nature is able to flourish without it being cut down for aesthetics.
I'll send you more news as I travel more!
