It used to be my grandfather’s house, and then it became my parents’ house. One day, it will be my house too. My family has lived here for a long time, so it feels very special to me.
The house has very high ceilings and big windows. The doors are very tall and made of heavy wood. The floors are made of tile that has pretty patterns. There is a long hallway that connects all the rooms, and some rooms have big doors that open into each other.
My favorite part of the house is the balcony because I can look down at the street and see people walking and dogs passing by. I like knowing that many people in my family have lived here before me. One day, I will take care of it too.
At home, I have a few chores that help my family. I make my bed in the morning and try to keep my room clean. I also help set the table before dinner and clear the table when we finish eating. Sometimes I help sweep the floor or water the plants. I also help put away groceries when we come home from the store.
My parents say chores are important because everyone in the family helps take care of the house. I like helping because it makes me feel responsible.
