The currency used in Taiwan are the Taiwanese National Dollars. Most people pay with paper money or coins for amounts smaller than $100NTD, however some people also use their phones to tap and pay.
A bottle of water usually costs around $25NDT, which is roughly $0.81USD.
The best meal I had this week was at a hot pot restaurant. As the name suggests, there is a large pot of hot broth in the center of the table, surrounded by different meats and vegetables. You choose what you want to eat and cook it yourself in the broth.

Definitely the mountaintop cafe! Overlooking the city of Taichung and the nearby mountains made it an exciting and memorable experience.
