Don’t be afraid to leave your comfort zone! I know that this phrase gets thrown around way too much, but honestly, there’s real truth behind it. Your hometown, your university, your circle of friends--they may feel familiar and safe, but the world is so much bigger than the bubble you’re used to. Go study or work somewhere completely different, somewhere that challenges your assumptions and introduces you to people whose lives, values and stories are nothing like your own. You realize how diverse people truly are, how many ways there are to live a meaningful life, and how little you actually need to be happy.
Be honest with yourself about what you want. Don’t let fear of judgment or the pressure to “fit in” hold you back.
The world is wide, and you only get one lifetime to see it!
