London has brought a great deal of new perspective to my life in the span of two and a half months. I know that I've grown a lot as a human being. I've gained many of these lessons from the workplace.

At my job at Everyman Broadgate, a cinema chain in London, I work with people from people all over the world. They are of all different races, ethncities and cultures. Because of everyone's different upbringings, everybody has a different opinion on certain topics. For example, I recently had a conversation with a co-worker named Nick who is from Colombia. He told me he is scared to come to America due to all the violence he sees on the news. However, another co-worker named Ciara, who is form Ireland, told me how much she wants to visit America to visit Disneyland and other famous amusement parks. I found it so fascinating to hear the widely diverging views of my good friends here in London. Conversations like these have opened my eyes to how others view the world. My friend Nick is a person of color, who sees the violence in America happening against people who look like him, so he sees it as an unsafe place. My friend Ciara, who is not a person of color, doesn't view America that way and sees no problem with traveling there.
