Intergrating into my community here in London has been quite an experience. Let me be the first to tell you that London and Florida are two totally different and unique places!
Over here in London, people are very reserved and don't like to socialize much with people they don't know. I've also noticed that people love to smoke and hang out after work as a casual thing to do. I have hung out with co-workers at different restaurants after work to gain a better understanding of what the average British person is like. Hanging out with British people is the only way to fit in with them. This is also a great way to try new food.
On top of hanging out with local Brits, I have been attending a local church every Sunday. London is a diverse place and the home to many different religons and beliefs. Going to church here has been a great experience for me. I go to church in West Kensington, which is about a four minute walk from where I live. The church is much smaller than my church in Florida, but it is more diverse ,having a huge Filipino, population. I love it because the people are so kind and sweet!
Last, the most striking thing I have noticed about British people is their fashion and how serious they are about working out. People love to wear blazers and dress shoes on a daily basis.
