It was extremely hot this week. It rained once, but it did not cool the weather down much at all. Even after the rain, the air still felt warm and humid. The heat made walking to school a little more uncomfortable, especially when I had to be outside for an extended period of time. I found myself wanting to stay indoors whenever possible and looking forward to being somewhere with air conditioning. I expected the rain to bring some relief from the heat, but the temperature seemed to return to normal almost immediately. The south of Spain is pretty hot all year round.
This week I saw a cat chasing a pigeon. In my neighborhood, we have plenty of stray cats. On my way to school, I saw a cat chasing a pigeon. The pigeon would fly down from the tree, wait for the cat to pounce, then fly away. This repeated for a while, but I did not stay to see how it ended. I thought it was funny how the pigeon kept coming back instead of flying away for good.
