Hola! My name is Destiny Brown, but friends call me Des. I am 20 years old and I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana. Fun fact: that's the same place Disney's Princess Tiana is from. Growing up in Louisiana meant that I got to enjoy listening to jazz music, second lining, eating tons of good food and enjoying Mardi Gras. I am currently a senior in college and expect to graduate in the spring. I am excited to learn about Spain's culture and meet new people. I was able to study abroad thanks to the Gilman Scholarship and other scholarships from my home university. I am excited to share my adventures with you all and can't wait to hear about your journeys throughout the school year!
