When the herbivore munches on the plant, the plant releases a particular odor that attracts the parasitoids to the plant so that the parasitoids can lay their eggs inside the herbivore. Interestingly, it seems that the hyperparasitoids have also evolved to use the odor released by the plant to track down the infested herbivores so that the hyperparasitoids can give the parasitoids a taste of their own medicine.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

Looking for a slice of home, I went to a restaurant with Western cuisine (Mexican/Italian) with my friends this weekend, and we all played Uno while we waited for the food. The food arrived before we could finish the card game, but I was quite close to winning!

I am taking tango classes offered at the NCBS campus. Surprisingly, there are quite a few tango socials, known as milongas, that occur around town in Bangalore.
