My daily routine here in Murcia varies depending on the day, but I usually follow a similar schedule throughout the week. I usually wake up (me despierto) around 8:00 or 9:00 AM and get ready (me preparo) for the day before making breakfast. My typical breakfast consists of eggs with ham and yogurt, which gives me enough energy to start my morning the right way. Breakfast in Spain is quite different from back home, with many cafés offering pastries and smaller portions. I definitely miss being able to order a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel from a coffee shop, so I usually prefer making breakfast at home.

After breakfast, I take a 30-minute tram ride to the University of Murcia, where my classes typically begin around 10:30 or 11:00 AM and finish around 4:00 PM. During my break between classes, I usually grab lunch at the university cafeteria, where I'll have something like pizza, pasta, or a burger. Although there are several options, I miss the variety of dining halls at Oregon State University, where we have everything from Asian to Mexican and American food. Another difference is the grading system.
