A Day in My Life: My Daily Routine in Murcia

In Spain, much of our grade is often determined by the final exam, meaning we have fewer weekly assignments but more responsibility to study independently and manage our time.

After class, I usually head home to work on assignments or play tennis with my friends. The tennis courts are conveniently located near campus, making it easy for us to walk over and get some exercise after class. On Monday mornings, I also go grocery shopping for the week to the Mercadona just five minutes from my apartment since my classes don't begin until noon that day.

In the evenings, I usually relax (me relajo) at home and work on assignments, write articles for Reach the World, or help organize activities for my Sales Club back home. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, my friends and I often visit the local bar to watch Champions League soccer matches. I try to go to bed (me acuesto) before midnight, although I sometimes stay up later planning weekend trips or calling my family back in Oregon because of the time difference.

While my weekdays are pretty consistent, my weekends are usually filled with traveling and exploring new places! This past weekend, my friends and I visited Porto, Portugal. On Saturday, we woke up (nos despertamos) around 10:00 AM and headed out for breakfast at 11:00 AM. We spent the afternoon exploring churches, palaces, and beautiful viewpoints before taking a boat cruise at 4:00 PM. After enjoying the sunset around 6:00 PM, we grabbed dinner and visited a rooftop bar area before returning to our hostel around 11:00 PM, where we met and hung out with other travelers.
