In Germany, the main language is German, but many scientists like me speak English to connect with each other.

What type of money is used here?:

The type of money used in Germany is called a euro. A euro is also used by other countries in Europe.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water costs 1.24 €, which is $1.43. You can buy a bottle of water at the store, train station or at small shops, just like in the United States.

What was the best meal this week?:

I had schnitzel (a very thin piece of meat that is fried). It looked like a big golden chicken nugget. It was warm, crispy, and very tasty!

What music did I listen to this week?:

I listened to classical music by Johann Sebastian Bach. He is a very famous German musician who lived a long time ago.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I had the most fun playing soccer with everyone. I met many new people from Germany who taught me a lot about soccer. 

What did I read this week?:

As a scientist, I read a lot of research papers where other scientist explain all their amazing experiments.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I played soccer with my friends. In Germany, they call soccer "football"!
