Tokyo is the capital of Japan and one of the busiest cities in the world. You can find yourself surrounded by tall buildings, but after just a five-minute walk, you may suddenly be in a beautiful green space. This mix of urban and natural environments makes Tokyo special.
Tokyo has a very dense population, yet everything is extremely organized. The streets are clean, public transportation is efficient, and it’s easy to travel anywhere in the city by subway, train, or bus.
There are many green spaces throughout the city, from small neighborhood gardens to large parks. One example is the Meiji Jingu forest I went to before, which feels like a real woodland even though it's in the middle of the city.
Tokyo’s landscape is also unique because traditional architecture, such as shrines and temples, is blended with modern skyscrapers, creating a mix of old and new.
