It was almost seven years ago that I was in your exact seat. During my sophomore year at Boone, I took A.P. Chemistry with Ms. Carr. I still remember the lab benches where we all had to sit, with the sinks in the middle of every station and the black table tops that were perpetually water-stained and wet. Though I recently graduated from UTK, I can easily recall my time spent right where you are with Ms. Carr!
I am incredibly excited to share my Fulbright Student Research scholarship journey with all of you! For the past month, I have been living in Riga, Latvia, and I will remain in Latvia until the end of May. Currently, the weather here is making an extremely hard turn towards winter, with the shortest day of the year here offering less than six hours of daylight. Even though it may be a little colder, wetter, and windier in October than back in Gray, the fall colors are just as awesome. It will be so cool to capture and show all of you the change in seasons here compared to in Gray. The city of Riga is truly breathtaking and an architectural marvel. There’s nothing like it anywhere else!
