What main languages are spoken here?:

Spanish is the main language in El Rocío. However, it does receive a lot of tourists, so it’s not uncommon to also hear English, French or Arabic.

What type of money is used here?:

El Rocío is an aldea (very small village), so it uses the euro.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water costs about one euro most place I've been.

What was the best meal this week?:

I got a delicious pizza at a cute restaurant in Madrid. I absolutely love finding the best pizza possible when I travel, so I checked out several different pizza places while I was there.

What music did I listen to this week?:

The owner of the horseback tour company that I rode with loves making videos, and she always adds beautiful Spanish music to her videos. I’ve watched my video over and over now and I absolutely love the Flamenca music she used!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I really loved going on a guided tour through the park to learn more about its wildlife and different environments. The park is known for its Mediterranean forest, marshes, estuaries and the fact that it borders a beach called Matalscañas. Part of Matalascañas is a long stretch of virgin beach (meaning there’s no construction on it) and has famous moving sand dunes!
