Well, here we are! The time has come for me to pack up my stuff, say goodbye to Italy and head back home. What a wild ride it’s been! It’s hard to believe how much has happened in such a short time. From trying new foods to getting lost in museums (and sometimes just in the streets), it’s been an adventure I’ll never forget.
When I first arrived in Italy, I was buzzing with excitement to try everything. I was pumped to explore the city, eat as much pasta as I could handle and learn all about Italian life. Let me tell you, I am not leaving disappointed. I had the best pizza, tried a million different kinds of pasta and even started an obsession with tiramisu. I’m definitely going to be using the tiramisu recipe I learned in cooking class back home. I have also gotten really good at ordering food in Italian, even if I’m not quite an Italian pro yet.
However, it’s not just about the food. Milan is a place where everyone has their own vibe. People walk, bike, take trams and even squeeze into tiny little cars to get around. It's super busy and there is always something happening. I’ve learned to slow down and enjoy the little things, such as catching a breeze on my walk to school or getting distracted by cute dogs at the park.
