The weather in Beijing this week was warm! But it is slowly cooling down. At night it gets to about 55F, but during the day it sometimes still feels like summer. It is usually pretty sunny outside.
Beijing is a big and busy city but there is still a lot of urban wildlife, especially birds. My favorite is the azure-winged magpie. They have bright blue tails, black heads, white throats and grey bellies. There are many of them living in my community.
The leaves are finally starting to change colors! For the most part, the climate of Bejing is similar to New Jersey, but the summers are a little bit longer and the winters a little bit shorter. Now that it is getting cooler at night, some of the bright green leaves on the city's trees are turning to bright red and orange. This is one of my favorite things about fall, and I'm glad I get to experience it here!
