The farmers dressed the cows up in outfits while they paraded them down the mountain. There were also lots of delicious cheeses and other foods for sale nearby! My friends and I enjoyed the free samples.
The Alpabzuge had little booklets with information about all of the different cows. It was in German, so it was a little hard to read, but it was still lots of fun!
I didn't play any games or sports at the Alpabzuge, but I did go for a run by the Limmat River earlier this week! It was so beautiful.
At the end of the Alpabzuge, there was also a competition to see which farmer had the best cow of all. It lasted over 10 hours! Who knew there were such high standards for cows! What traits do you think the judges looked for in a "good cow"?
