Wow, what fun it’s been to share my journey with you these last few weeks! We visited the Alps together, checked out the Christmas market, saw an ibex and even tried fondue! We also got to meet the amazing Laura, Deaflympics staff member and Switzerland’s first Deaf physical therapist! I hope you’ve enjoyed this trip around Switzerland as much as I have.
As you are reading this, I am probably buying Christmas presents or packing my suitcase to get ready to go home and visit my family and friends for Christmas. I’ve had a wonderful time in Switzerland (and will be back again in January to finish my research project!), but I’m also very excited to go home and see all the people and things that I miss.
Today, it’s officially time for me to say goodbye to your class in this last journal entry. I have had such a wonderful time bringing you all around Switzerland with me, and I hope that this journey inspires you to go on your own adventures, whether within New York City or in the big world outside of it! Thank you for traveling with me all over Switzerland and giving me an excuse to try new places and things.
