The main languages spoken are Balinese, Indonesian, and English. Thus, it made it really easy for me to communicate as I traveled during the week. There is a difference between Balinese culture and Indonesian culture because Bali is a separate island. The main religion is Hindu, unlike in the rest of the country, where it is Muslim. This mix of Indonesian Hinduism creates a unique culture with traditions found only on this island.
Indonesian Rupiah is the type of money that is used in Bali. Right now, the conversion rate from US Dollars to the Indonesian Rupiah is 1 to 16,750. While it might look surprising to see something cost "thousands of dollars," don't forget to convert it because it might actually only cost a few!
A bottle of water in Bali at a convenience store cost me $0.48. However, my accommodation here comes with water (not tap), so I don't have to worry about buying water each day!
My favorite meal this week was definitely all of the Indonesian food I tried. Bali is known for its traditional Indonesian food, but also its brunch scene, since there are a lot of tourists, it's hot, and there's a lot of fresh fruit readily available.
