Interview With My Teacher Friend

Introduction:

While she does not want to share her name, my teacher friend is excited to share with you a little bit about her daily life here in Malaysia. She is a teacher, mother, wife, friend and role model.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

I live in a house (called bungalow) that has two levels and five bedrooms. I live with my husband and three children. My children are ages 2, 4 and 7 years old.

What is your family like?:

My husband and I have three children, and both sets of grandparents like to spend time with my children, their grandkids. We go to the temple together, and I like to cook food for my kids. They like my cooking.

How do you get around?:

I drive my car. Other people here drive motorcycles, but I definitely do NOT do that!

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

My clothes are made of cotton. I wear a blouse with a Punjabi suit. A Punjabi suit is Indian attire: three quarters sleeve top with pants and a shawl. It is all one material and color/pattern.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I like to cook and I like to bake cakes. I love using my new oven. I also like to teach my children on the weekends.
