What activity was the most fun this week?:

I absolutely love hiking, so I had a blast trekking around Quilotoa. However, my favorite part of the trip was chatting with my friends. They both live in different parts of Ecuador so I rarely have the opportunity to see them. It was great to talk about our different experiences in Ecuador so far and get to know each other better. I always learn so much from my friends - they are very inspiring!

What did I read this week?:

Although I did not have much time to read this week, I have have started a book called "On the Wings of the Dove" by Henry James. It is a challenging book, but I am excited to read more! My next goal is to read a book in Spanish, so I am going to look for Harry Potter in a local bookstore. I have already read all the Harry Potter books in English so I think it will be a good place to start with reading for fun in Spanish.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

After the hike, I made sure to stretch and do a yoga routine so that I would be less sore the next day. I have been trying to regularly practice yoga. It always makes my mind and body feel strong and healthy.

Other news from this week:

Before I left for Quilotoa, I went to a Fulbright event for Thanksgiving. Although I was sad not to be with my family, I was grateful to spend the afternoon with my Fulbright friends. We had an excellent Thanksgiving lunch, with a mix of American and Ecuadorian food. What did you eat for Thanksgiving?
