Integrating into Chełm

Living in the dormitories also gives me a unique perspective on Polish culture with people my own age. One of the most noticeable differences is that everyone here seems to know how to cook. No matter what time I go into the kitchen, students are gathered and cooking complicated meals together. They also frequently listen to a genre of music called Disco Polo. This is a common genre in Poland that sounds like a mix of pop, electronic and disco music. It has been cool to see Polish culture within each age group, whether it is the older generation of my dean, the family perspective with the other teachers or the student view in my dormitory.
