Kids' Lives in Cape Town!

Introduction:

Abie is 11 years old and goes to school in Rondebosch, a small city within Cape Town. In her free time, Abie loves to sing, swim and draw.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, I eat milk with muesli, a sweet cereal made out of oats, dried fruits and other foods. When I eat lunch, my mom makes me cheese sandwiches with potato chips and an apple. For dinner, my family eats lots of chicken and rice, but my favorite is pizza!

What is your house like?:

My house has a front yard with a very pretty tree and lots of flowers. Inside, my family has a kitchen, a sitting room, two bathrooms and our bedrooms. I share my bedroom with both my older and younger sister, and I really like it because I always have someone to talk to and we always have a fun time together.

What chores do you have at home?:

At home, I help my mom wash the dishes and sometimes I sweep the floor if it looks dusty. I don't really like to sweep the floor, but I do like to help my mom around the house.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My mom teaches science at my older sister's school. I can't wait until I'm old enough to go there because I think it would be fun to see my mom at school. My dad works at a bank in the business district of Cape Town.
