The coolest thing I saw was the view from Gianicolo Hill. From up there, you can see the whole city stretching out in front of you, with the Tiber River running through it and the domes of buildings shining in the sun. When the sun starts to set, the sky turns gold and the city almost looks unreal.
The leaves are finally starting to change color, which makes the city even more beautiful. You can feel the shift into fall, and it gives Rome this calm feeling that’s different from the summer rush.
