Traveler Bio

Hi, I'm Bethany! I describe myself as "Born into choas, but blossomed into success." I am the youngest of five children (three brothers and one sister). My father died when I was four. After his passing, my mom struggled to take care of us. I was placed in foster care and other housing facilities until I turned 11. I had a difficult childhood, but growing up around many different families allowed me to understand the world in a unique way. My challenges didn't end after returning home, and I eventually made the decision to leave home at age 14. My love for education and my burning desire for a better life gave me the work ethic I needed to excel in school.

Coming from a family that could barely afford to put food on the table limited my view of the world around me. Through scholarships, I was able to attend college, which has allowed me so many opportunities. I made the decision to attend Radford University in Radford, VA for my first year. I switched universities to attend Towson University, which is my home away from home. Towson has given me the ability to make the most out of life. At Towson, I am trying to accomplish all my dreams. Traveling the world has always been a dream of mine and it is finally coming true! I'm so glad you can join me for this adventure!
