Farewell United Kingdom!

When I was deciding to study abroad, I wanted to have classes that I was interested in. The classes I took did not pertain to my major, so there wasn't so much stress. However, many students who do study abroad take classes that do pertain to their majors. Deciding what classes to take is a huge decision that all students have to make when studying abroad and when choosing what university to study at. This is something to keep in mind for the future.

This journey has had such a significant impact on my life. The experiences I've had and the people I've met have helped me grow as a person. I've always been the person who loves to take care of others and sometimes I put others' needs before my own. This can be a great characteristic to have, especially as I would like to become a doctor. However, this can sometimes lead to people taking advantage of me. From my time abroad, I've learned how to prioritize the needs of myself above others. While I still love helping people, it's always great to make sure you are taken care of first before you can help someone else. This is one of the biggest lessons I've learned.

I really hope that all of you get the chance to study abroad when you enter high school. Many students don't take advantage of the experience for many reasons. I want to challenge each of you to step outside of your comfort zone and get the chance to go and explore the world for yourselves. You won't regret the experience and the memories you make while you are abroad. For the longest time, I was like many of you! I was scared to study abroad mainly because I didn't think that I would be able to afford it. I saw one of my friends do it and then I knew that if she could do it, I could, too.
