I did not blow it all on random things like other people may have, but I still splurged on clothes and shoes occasionally. Also, taking advantage of programs at your school and of local scholarships is another strategy. I received a scholarship at Salve that covered basically all of my tuition. Salve also has a tuition match policy where you pay the same price you would pay at Salve if you study abroad while you're a student there. In addition to this, I received the Gilman scholarship, which is federally funded. This helps students who may not otherwise be able to afford to study abroad. These resources helped me go to Barcelona for a semester, and started my love for traveling.
