Walk down the street and you'll be met with some of the world's most vibrant yellow leaves. Usually, there's a price tag to see something pretty but you can find Ginkgo trees in almost any park. Of course, you'll also find many people taking pictures as well!
Ginkgo trees are highly adaptable to its environment, using this flexibility to survive in almost any region of Japan. From small city avenues to large parks or icy cold regions, these trees are highly drought-resistant after a couple years of growth. In addition, they can handle full sunlight and shade as well. These features of the ginkgo trees are the reason why they can be found almost everywhere. It's not a surprise that the ginkgo trees are also known to live for hundreds of years!
Although the ginkgo trees are sturdy and highly adaptable, they are not invincible. For example, insects like spiders or mites may feed on this tree's branches and leaves, causing it to wither and die.
