All Roads Lead to Seoul!

Introduction:

Hello everyone! I flew from New York for over 15 hours to South Korea to start our journey together! We flew over Canada and the Pacific Ocean to get here. I took some pictures from the plane for you all to see South Korea from the sky. As you can see, the country is covered in mountains. South Korea also has multiple islands, and I will be living on the largest of those islands called Jeju. When compared to the U.S., South Korea is about the size of Indiana. It may seem like a small country to some, but it would take a very long time to explore everything! Today, I am going to tell you all how I plan to meet my friends on the mainland and explore South Korea from Jeju Island.

How do people get around?:

In South Korea, you can get to most places without getting in a car. Public transportation -- like trains, subways and buses -- are the most popular forms of transportation here. From almost anywhere in South Korea, you can easily get to the capital of Seoul. Seoul is the biggest city in South Korea and is where more than half of the population lives. "KTX" is the main train system that can get you to Seoul, and the tickets are not very expensive. Many people who work in Seoul take the train twice a day, up to two hours each way! From where I will live on Jeju island, it will take almost four hours to get to Seoul.
