There are communities all across the world, and some are similar and some are very different. A part of studying abroad means you leave your community where you live and join the community where you will be studying. It was not hard for me to leave my community, because I was excited to start something new, to travel and to make new friends. Of course, I was also a little scared. I was afraid that I wouldn't fit in, I would get lost or I wouldn't do well in my classes. But facing your fears and trying something new is one of the greatest feelings.

My community in London consists of the students I go to school with, on a small scale, and the people of the city, on a larger scale. I am super excited to be a part of this community. This community is highly different than my community back home. Integrating myself into this new community has been a challenge because this is my first time out of the United States and being away from my family for more than a week. This opportunity has been my first experience with immersing myself in a completely different culture than my own. I've noticed some similarites, but there are also many differences. Some of the differences include food, the people, and the school work.

First, the food is amazing here!
