How's the Food in London?

For lunch I always have peanut butter and jelly with an apple, or I try to eat something new at one of the local restaurants. For dinner, there is always chicken or fish to eat. This is not surprising because the United Kingdom is an island, thus making seafood an easy option. Salad, soup and bread are also common. My favorite part, though, is eating macaroni and cheese, beef stews or the lemon ice cream. All of these foods can be found in the United States, so London's not so different.

What food did I try?:

Recently I was able to try some Lebanese food. Every ingredient on my plate or in my bowl was brand new to me. I tried two dishes. One was falafel, and the other was label chicken liver. The falafel contained fried beans, fine herb croquettes, tahine sauce, celery and sesame. The chicken liver consisted of marinated chicken liver sauteed with lemon, butter and pomegranate sauce. There were also sides of yellow rice, pita bread, mango juice and water. It was practically a feast! You may be asking what some of this stuff is, such as croquettes or tahine sauce. My answer is that I do not know, but it tasted really good.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

I chose to try falafel and chicken liver because I have challenged myself to try new foods as much as possible. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. I like to say "go big or go home", and I chose to go big. I was terrified to try these foods. I had no idea if I was going to like them, but what was the worst that was going to happen? I might not like the food? In the end, I loved the falafel! It might be my new favorite food. The chicken liver was good, but it had a grainy texture when I started eating. I loved the pomegranate seeds, though.
