My favorite dish so far is the lomo y pasta a la huancaína. Lomo is a super delicious dish of tender marinated strips of sirloin, which is served over the pasta a la huancaína. The pasta looks like fettuccine alfredo, but it is actually bathed in a mild huancaína sauce from the aji pepper as well.
Finally, the causa is made from layers of potato patty and a unique sort of chicken salad with lime, which can also be made from tuna or another protein. It is topped with palta, which translates to "avocado" in Peruvian Spanish. It sounds weird, but I do not even like lime or chicken salad and I must admit it was delicious. Every dish I have had that is served with avocado is served with about a half or whole avocado!

I usually do not like foods like fish or lime or chicken salad, but after I mustered up the courage to try some of the Peruvian dishes, I was surprised to find how delicious they were! It's obvious why Peru is renowned for its way of making food taste incredible.
