Even though there are things that I miss from home, I´m still so happy and excited to be where I am now, with so many adventures on the horizon!
I have lived here in Barranquilla, Colombia for two months so far and I am learning so much here! I am getting better at the Spanish language and am practicing every day. I also am learning about Colombian history, culture, politics, and customs. It's so exciting and I could not be happier. My students teach me a lot every day. They teach me Spanish phrases. They also give me advice about the city and share traditions that they practice. I love to share my own culture with them and learning about theirs at the same time!
I spend a lot of time at work and I enjoy being there, but the weekends are a nice break! I like to travel to new places in my free time and experience as much Colombian culture as I can. When I can´t travel, I enjoy running, knitting hats and scarves, reading as much as I can, and spending time with friends.
I am thrilled to meet all of you and can´t wait to share my experiences with you over the next few months!
