How do people get around?:

People travel around Constanta in a variety of ways. During spring and summer when the weather is warmer, lots of people ride their bikes around the city. Otherwise, many people drive from place to place. People who don't own cars use public transportation and take the bus. Another option is to take a maxi taxi, which is a minivan that follows a certain route, like a bus. When you get on a maxi taxi, you pay for a ticket and tell the driver where you want to get off along the route. There are many stations where people typically get off, but the driver doesn't always stop at every station. This means you have to pay attention and know when your stop is coming up, so you can remind the driver where you want to get off. If people are out late at night, they usually take a taxi because the buses stop running at 11PM. The taxis here look practically identical to the yellow taxis you see in the United States.
