Cappadocian Candies: A True Turkish Delight!

As for the candies, the Turkish delights are made by melting sugar, water and different flavors together, and then leaving the mixture to set in a mold. The dry cotton candy is made by blending flour and butter into pulled sugar.

Is this food connected to the local environment? How?:

All the treats I tasted are definitely connected to the local environment! Central Turkey is where the majority of their pumpkin seeds are produced and harvested. Similarly, apricots are also largely grown in central Turkey. In fact, 70 percent of the world's dried apricots are produced in Turkey! When considering that the seeds and fruits I tried are locally grown, it makes sense that they are specialities of the region.
