The best meal I had this week was the traditional Irish breakfast! Irish breakfast consists of toast, cooked tomato, fried egg, Irish bacon, Irish sausage, beans and tea. It is indeed a hearty breakfast.
This week I listened to some traditional Irish music. The band had two members, two older gentlemen. One played the guitar and the other played either a flute or accordion. They also sang. The music usually told stories about aspects of Irish culture and some songs were quite famous. Many people in the crowd took part in singing along!
The activity that was the most fun this week was visiting Blarney Castle and kissing the Blarney Stone! The castle grounds are huge, with many gardens and buildings, both old and new. There are caves, old dungeons and of course the famous Blarney Stone.
