Legend has it that if you kiss the stone, you will be an excellent speaker! Kissing the stone is actually a rather frightening experience. The Blarney Stone is a stone on the wall at the top of the castle. To kiss it, you have to lay down on the ground and slide your head all the way back to the wall. There are two metal bars on either side of you that you hold on to as you drop your head back to kiss the stone. When you lean your head back though you can see the grass all the way below you and it looks like you might fall down to the ground! Thankfully there are employees there to hold your legs!

What did I read this week?:

I've been reading a book called "The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs." It was written by an established paleontologist, which is a scientist who studies fossilized plants and animals. The book details the history of dinosaurs, which I think is super cool!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I didn't play any sports this week, but I did play a card game called Flux that I received as a Christmas present.

Other news from this week:

In other news, I returned from Ireland and started back at school school on Monday, January 7th. As always, it's hard to come back from vacation, but I'm looking forward to what this new year will bring!
