The only genre I am not a big fan of is screamo.
I went to a diversity conference over the weekend in Berlin hosted by my scholarship fund. I spent two days in Berlin swapping ideas and information with others who share my interests on social justice issues.
I did not read anything too exciting this week. It was mostly articles and magazines on the seven-hour train ride to Berlin. I read in both English and German. The free train magazine was in German. There was an article on a famous American rock artist. I found the article interesting since the man was interviewed mostly in English, but his answers were reported in German.
I played some ping pong with my friends in the park. We have a ping pong table at my parents’ house in the United States. I am pretty good at it because I have been playing for years.
It is Oktoberfest time in Germany again! The annual festival takes place every year starting around the end of September and goes into October. The first Oktoberfest took place as a celebration of the wedding of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildenburghausen. Today, it is similar to the state or country fairs held across the United States every summer. There are food stands and lots of games and rides.
