Most of southern China has persistent weather for most of the winter season with temperatures ranging from 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. It is certainly not as cold as a New York winter, but I have noticed people out in winter coats and lots of sweaters! I have also noticed that this week has been unusually sunny. Normally, there's a fair amount of cloudy days in the region, but my friends and I were lucky enough to experience some sunny weather while in Guangzhou.
Hong Kong and Guangzhou are both fairly urbanized areas. However, just like New York, I have noticed that people love walking their dogs around the city. There are also quite a few cats roaming around town. Many of these cats were actually quite friendly!
