I listened to acoustic music this week. Acoustic music is created with non-electic instruments such as a regular guitar or piano instead of an electric guitar or keyboard. I thought this music was nice to listen to when it's rainy outside because the songs seem calmer.
I think playing volleyball was the most fun activity I participated in this week. I love meeting local Dutch people and playing an active game!
I read a lot of scientific papers for my work to learn about what I am researching. The papers are very long and are not too exciting, but I enjoy reading them because I love to learn and science!
On Monday afternoons I play volleyball at the local gym! It's always a ton of fun and everyone is really into it. There are a lot of really tall people who come to play. Even though I'm tall for a girl in the US (I'm 5 feet 7 inches), I'm considered a little short here because The Dutch are the tallest people in the world on average!
I learned that it is illegal to ride your bike without both a white front light and a red backlight! This is to help cars and other bikes see you at nighttime. I think that's a good idea to make into a law in the US too!
