It was super rainy on Sunday and Monday and REALLY windy! Everyone still biked into work, though, and some people had to take their shoes off to let them dry before they could walk around!
I took a train through the platteland ("countryside" in Dutch) and saw a lot of farms! There were cows, sheep and horses out grazing grass on the fields. Do you know the Dutch words for the sounds farm animals? Let me tell you!
In English, we call the sound a cow makes "Moo" but the Dutch call it "Boe"
In English, we call the sound a dog makes "Bark" but the Dutch call it "Blaf"
In English, we call the sound a pig makes "Oink" but the Dutch call it "Knor"
In English, we call the sound a horse makes "Neigh" but the Dutch call "Vrinsk"
