Our News

One was "The Ecology of Commerce" by Paul Hawken, which talks about the role that businesses can and must play in restoring the environment. The other was "Poor Economics" by Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo. This book was a firsthand account of the lives of the world's poorest people. The authors did a great job breaking down some of the myths about what makes people poor and why people, once poor, tend to stay that way. I highly recommend both books!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

Swimming was my primary recreation this week! I got some good exercise swimming against the waves at times.

Other news from this week:

My husband and I went to the University of Oklahoma, so we made sure to watch our football team's playoff game while we were traveling. Unfortunately, they lost, so we will not be in the National Championship. Hopefully we make it next year!
