This species is endangered, so the area is very well-protected, especially during hatching season.
Many people told us this week how climate change and climate policy have directly impacted their families and the regions in which they live and work. From deforestation for agriculture to crops producing fruit in the wrong season to the death of sensitive coral reefs, the impact of human activity and tourism has been strong. Seeing the areas that are endangered firsthand made me want to try even harder to reduce my impact on the environment.
