What food did I try?:

The better question is: what food did I not try!? From sabich sandwiches to lamb kebabs, there are many traditional foods to try in Israel. A very common type of dish is one in which there are many small plates of sauces, vegetables, hummus and pita bread. With this dish, you can assemble small pita sandwiches by adding the vegetables, sauce and meats, or you can simply eat the pita bread with the hummus. Aside from the savory foods, I have also been able to try some traditional Israeli desserts, such as Malabi. Malabi is a kind of milk pudding that has rosewater and toasted nuts on top of it. Another dessert that is very common in Israel is called halva, which is often made with nut butter. Halva comes in a large variety of flavors.
