I don't really travel too much. I'm often too busy with things in the city. But I did have to go into northern Queensland this week for a report for the radio station. I'll be reporting on suburban Queensland, where it gets a lot more spread out— even more so than Orange County. It's not unheard of for a drive between houses to take five minutes on roads that run through beautiful, open fields.
The farthest place I've been to so far has been Melbourne, on the southern tip of Australia. It's close enough to Antartica that they have penguins there. It's also pretty cool year round, so it reminds me a lot of San Francisco. It's a really big urbanized city with skyscrapers and narrow alleyways everywhere. It has been by far my favorite city in the country, even more so than Brisbane.
After that I went to Sydney, which is the biggest city in the country by population. It's a lot more spread out than Melbourne, and there's not a lot of narrow alleyways. After Sydney, Melbourne is the next most populous city, with Brisbane following Melbourne.
