Samoa: A World of Color

Introduction:

Samoa is a tropical island along the equatorial line, and it is richly biodiverse. Biodiversity refers to the variety of animals and plants that inhabit a given area. The amount of biodiversity is an indicator of a region's overall health. Many different species of plants and animals are able to thrive in Samoa because of its warm and moist climate. I have seen many animals such as geckos, lizards, tropical birds, giant clams, sea turtles and even dolphins. I have also seen many different tropical plants such as Heliconia rostrata - the Hanging Lobster Claw!
