The Chilean peso (CLP) is the main form of currency used in Chile. One thing I noticed right away about Chilean money is that their dollars are blue, orange, red, and green, depending on the amount. It makes your wallet look like a rainbow! One-thousand (1,000) Chilean pesos is equal to about one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) in U.S. dollars.

My favorite meal from this week was Chorillaña. Chorillaña is a traditional dish that is served in Valparaíso, the specific region of Chile where I am staying. It consists of fried eggs on top of roasted potatoes with meat, vegetables and sauce.
