It is actually easy—just tap your EasyCard, ride the train to your stop and tap your EasyCard again when you leave. Sometimes, the trains can be so crowded! All the seats are full, and there is no room to stand! Then, you have to wait for a new train. I do not like riding the MRT when it is crowded.
Taipei is a really, really big city. Many people need to travel around for their jobs and school. If everyone had scooters and cars, the traffic would be too bad to get anywhere! So, the MRT is a great way to move many, many people around the city without creating traffic.
